On 9 and 10 May Christians commemorate the Ascension of Jesus into heaven at the very place where the event is said to have occurred.

A ceremony which is held only in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre commemorates the invention of the cross of Christ in the fourth century thanks to Saint Helen and her work in the Holy Land..

A SPECIAL RITUAL FOR THE FEAST OF ST GEORGE “PRINCE OF MARTYRS”
On 5 and 6 May the Orthodox Church celebrates the feast of Saint George, their most important martyr. This is a commemoration which includes spiritual experiences and religious rituals.

A NEW YOUTH EVANGELISATION CENTRE IN HAIFA
In cooperation with the Melkite Greek Catholic Diocese, the Catholic Shalom community has opened a center for evangelization devoted to youth.

At the event organized by Assist for Peace, the children of the Terra Santa School in Jerusalem remember the Italian soccer defender whose sudden death occurred two months ago.
